Augmented Reality’s potential for architecture is huge. The new mass medium of our time, AR is widely expected to become as standard within the industry as BIM or CAD, bringing efficiencies to project workflows, and increased intuitiveness when accessing virtual data. This research project explored the Opportunities and Obstacles for Mobile Augmented Reality across the Design, Construction, and Post Completion phases of architectural practice.
The final paper is available here, and seeks to provide construction industry professionals in Australia with a high level overview of mobile AR's potential across key architectural project phases.
