Cammeray Apartment
Bought as a deceased estate, this small apartment was in need of a refresh.
This apartment renovation, completed on a tight budget, involved the full replacement of the existing bathroom and kitchen; subtle changes to the floor plan to maximise the space within; and a cosmetic makeover.
The original colour palette in this early 70’s unit consisted of salmon pinks within the bathroom); dark beige to the walls and ceiling; and lime cabinetry in the kitchen. To reflect the clients’ aesthetic, the revamp employs a monochrome interior palette, with lime-washed timber floorboards and cool white walls to maximise the daylight bouncing around within the space.
A new solid concertina door gives privacy to the bedrooms, to separate these from the living spaces; and custom joinery is used to create a dual-purpose ‘alcove’ to the living room, that also conceals a study nook beyond.
